Dungeon Defenders: First Wave is a strategy video game developed and published by Trendy Entertainment for Apple iPhone, now available at the Apple app store for $2.99. Dungeon Defenders: First Wave includes an on and off-line campaign, challenge missions, leader boards, and robust 4 player co-op support Dungeon Defenders: First Wave breaks new ground in many ways. For starters, it's the first hybrid tower defense action-RPG game. Players choose from four distinct Hero classes (Apprentice, Squire, Huntress, & Monk) each with their own unique strengths, towers, and abilities. The first phase of combat is the Build Phase. Here players use strategy to plan their defenses and summon a variety of towers and traps to protect the Eternity Crystals. Then the action begins; in the Combat Phase players directly engage in action-packed combat with their foes. During this phase they can also build new towers and upgrade/repair existing ones.
"Dungeon Defenders turns the tower defense genre on its head and adds a degree of depth seldom seen in a mobile title. There is meaty character leveling and customization, awesome loot drops and plenty of team-oriented defensive strategy to manage, but then you have this action-packed wave-based standoff that gets continually more intense. It's as deep as it is instantly fun." -Jeremy Stieglitz, development director of Trendy Entertainment Dungeon Defenders: First Wave also allows players to customize their persistent characters and equipment in any way they choose. It's up to you whether your towers have a greater range of fire, you have more hit points, or your weapon deals fire damage; every character will be different! "With Dungeon Defenders, gamers can expect more from mobile games. It throbs on the powerful Unreal Engine, the technology that drives Infinity Blade, the most successful iPhone game till date." -Agapitus Lye, CEO, Trendy Entertainment.
