Very rarely does a movie generate a decent video game tie in, but thankfully X-Men Origins: Wolverine managed to pull off one of the most exciting games I've played in a long time. It's the Wolverine fans biggest dream come true and that is a game that captures the Wolverine character perfectly while allowing for the amazing gore and fighting you would expect from a character with 3 sharp blades sticking out of each hand.
X-Men Origins: Wolverine is a bloody and fun blast game that delivers the action goods, and a good amount of surprisingly violent gameplay. The game is a simple beat 'em up at its core, but it is designed pretty well considering this is a licensed tie-in type of game, and utilizes Wolverine's claws and abilities to great effect. The graphics are breathtaking and the healing factor animations are a great touch. Each hit exposes muscle and the adamantium skeleton and heals much like it does in the movie.

Overall, if you want to play a third person action game that is solid and based on a beloved character, this is the one to try, hands down.
