Frankenstein is a drama film, set for release on March 17, 2011. The film is directed by Danny Boyle and the screenplay is written by Nick Dear based on the book by Mary Shelley, and stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Naomie Harris and Jonny Lee Miller.
Movie synopsis: Mary Shelley's classic tale, adapted for the stage by Nick Dear and directed by Danny Boyle, will be broadcast live in HD from the National Theatre to cinemas around the world. Childlike in his innocence but grotesque in form, Frankenstein's bewildered creature is cast out into a hostile universe by his horror-struck maker. Meeting with cruelty wherever he goes, the friendless Creature, increasingly desperate and vengeful, determines to track down his creator and strike a terrifying deal. Benedict Cumberbatch and Jonny Lee Miller will alternate the roles of Victor Frankenstein and the Creature.
