A variety of visual cues delivers the true driver's experience including a three-dimensional HUD that mimics driver head movement, inertia and G-forces. The depth of field also adjusts based on the speed of the car; so when the car is traveling at high speeds the perspective will shift to the distance putting the car cockpit out of focus.

What kind of driver are you? Driver profile tracks the player's evolution as a race driver from event to event. This system is made up of a driver's personality on the track, their success rate and any profile points and badges accrued all of which work together to create a tailor-made career and game play experience. Driver profile is pervasive throughout all modes: career and online.

When the player hits a static object or opponent car, the player will feel like they are 'taking damage'. A combination of visual and audio effects will leave the player disorientated and briefly disrupt the race.

Need for Speed SHIFT features a comprehensive customization option that lets the player tailor every aspect of the cars performance and styling. Go under the hood to upgrade and tune your vehicle to increase its performance. The visual customization system allows players to personalize both the exterior and trick out the interior to reflect their individual style and preferences.

video game, terminator salvation

Terminator Salvation is a third-person shooter action video game based on the film of the same name from Warner Bros. It is developed by the Halcyon Company's gaming subsidiary, Halcyon Games, along with GRIN and published by Equity Games and Evolved Games. The game was released for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC, mobile, and iPhone OS.

Set in 2016 in Los Angeles, it is an interquel that takes place between the events of Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines and Terminator Salvation and follows John Connor (Gideon Emery), and his team, consisting of Angie Salter (Rose McGowan), Barnes (Common) and Blair Williams (Moon Blood good). However, Christian Bale refused to lend his voice and likeness for the game. Rose McGowan is in the game as well, voicing the game-exclusive character Angie Salter, who is an ex-high school teacher. On the other hand, Common and Moon Blood good are voicing their own characters from the film (Barnes and Blair, respectively).

For those who wondering, the gameplay format mirrors that of 'Kane + Lynch'. Except here you also get to shoot flying machines out of the sky from moving vehicles. This game is actually very challenging, and until you get used to the cover system, very similar to 'Wanted' as you can also blind-fire around objects, it may take a few tries. The PS vibration controller makes the War extremely intense; feel each step the giant HKs' make!

The sound is superb, easily one of the most exciting scores I've heard in awhile. Sound effects in surround sound lands, you in the middle of the post-apocalyptic 'Terminator' universe.

Resident Evil 5 features similar gameplay to Resident Evil 4. Context-sensitive controls and dynamic cut scenes return in Resident Evil 5.

The player(s) control Chris Redfield and/or Sheva Alomar, similarly to how the player controlled Leon S. Kennedy in Resident Evil 4, with the same over-the-shoulder perspective. The game's environment plays a significant role. The Mercenaries minigame, which was featured in both Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil 4, is also in Resident Evil 5. As of launch, the multiplayer in the mini-game was offline only, but a launch day patch gave the game online multi-player.
The game features new types of enemies called "Majini", meaning evil spirit in Swahili. The game's enemies possess human-like intelligence and awareness. Furthermore, they are different from the previous ganados. The number of weapon variations has been greatly increased compared to the previous games in the series. Requisites such as handguns and shotguns also return.

The game features some online elements. Resident Evil 5's main story mode can be played with two players, in a co-operative online mode. The feature will allow players to enter or leave anytime during the game. Players will not always stick together, and can be separated at points during the gameplay. An offline co-op mode is also in the game with the same co-op experience offered by the online co-op mode, only with two local players controlling the action in split screen.

A major feature that distinguishes the PlayStation 3 from its predecessors is its unified online gaming service, the PlayStation Network, which contrasts with Sony's former policy of relying on game developers for online play. Other major features of the console include its robust multimedia capabilities, connectivity with the PlayStation Portable, and its use of a high-definition optical disc format, Blu-ray Disc, as its primary storage medium. The PS3 was also the first Blu-ray 2.0-compliant Blu-ray player on the market.

Includes PlayStation 3 80GB system, Dualshock 3 wireless controller, free PlayStation Network membership, internet ready Wi-Fi, and 80GB of hard disk storage for all your games, music, videos, and photos. Every PS3 comes with a built-in Blu-ray player to give you the best high-definition viewing experience and pristine picture quality. Plus, the PS3 can play your entire catalog of CDs and DVDs.
