Fame is a musical film based on the 1980 film which follows NYC talent attending the New York City High School for the Performing Arts, (Known today as Fiorello H. Laguardia H.S.). It was directed by Kevin Tancharoen and written by Allison Burnett. Starring: Naturi Naughton as Denise, Collins Pennie as Malik, Kay Panabaker as Jenny, Asher Book as Marco, Kherington Payne as Alice, Walter Perez as Victor, Anna Maria Perez de Taglé as Joy, Paul Iacono as Neil. It is scheduled to be released by Lakeshore Entertainment on September 25, 2009.

    Just got back from seeing this; My first reaction is, for a movie that was supposed to mostly take place on a stage, it all felt too... staged; on the up-side, there's a hot blond dancer chick in it
