Spectrobes: Origins Exclusive Spectrobe at School Trailer:
Presentation: with over 100 monsters to collect, a full trading card series to back it, a whole world and mythology and plenty of depth Spectrobes is a surprisingly full and robust world. A big generic, but robust.
Graphics: there’s nothing overly-stunning going on, but factor in the sheer amount of content and it starts to be pretty impressive just the same.
Sound: generic monster noises team with a passable soundtrack and VO where necessary. Nothing overly stunning, but it fits the game nicely.
Gameplay: the battle mechanic is great, excavation is fun, and the balance of Spectrobes and real-time switching works wonderfully. Levels can be basic, but the core combat is fast and fun.
Lasting Appeal: the style is certainly a bit generic, but if you can get past that 100+ monsters, an impressive list of options, survival modes, content sharing, and a whole lot more await. Great for kids.
